ReStore FAQ

Are you open to the public?

Yes. Our ReStore is open to the general public. Everyone is welcome to shop Tuesday through Saturday and support our mission.

Can I make purchases over the phone?

We have a first come, first serve policy for purchases. We cannot verify items on hand or process purchases over the phone.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, MasterCard and Visa.  (ReStore does not accept checks or vouchers.)

What is your return policy?

Returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase. Original receipt is required at time of return/exchange.

Do you deliver purchased items?

No, we do not offer delivery service, but we allow a three day hold on items you've bought here, to give you time to make your own pick-up arrangements. All pick-ups of purchases must be made after 10:00 a.m. and completed before 5:00 p.m., Tuesday - Saturday.

Will you load my purchased items for me?

We can offer limited assistance with loading.  We will have you pull around back while we bring your larger purchased items from the sales floor to your vehicle.  You then take primary responsibility for the loading.  We can usually lend a helping hand with the loading, but we do not enter your vehicle, lift items onto the roof of the vehicle, or attempt to fit large items into the passenger seats of vehicles.  You are responsible for disassembling items, rearranging seats and existing contents, and for properly securing the load.

How long do I have to pick-up my merchandise?

You can have us hold your purchased merchandise at ReStore for three business days. We have limited space set aside for sold items.  If you fail to pick up your purchased items within the time allotted, the items will be put back out for sale.  You can return to our ReStore with your original receipt within 30 days of the original purchase date to obtain a refund for your abandoned purchase.  Beyond the 30 day refund period, any unclaimed items are considered to be donated back to us and upon request, we will provide a donation receipt instead of a refund.

Do you offer discounts?

We do offer a 10% discount to military members and first responders (police, fire, EMS) when valid ID is presented at checkout.

Our gently used items are tagged at thrift prices from the start.  We then monitor unsold donated items on the sales floor on a regular basis and mark them down the longer they're here.  This repricing is done outside of store hours.  The tagged price is the current selling price.  No discounts are negotiated on the floor.  Just a reminder, items sold in our ReStore provide funding to build and repair homes in Lucas County.  We appreciate you supporting those efforts.

How can I donate items to ReStore?

Donations are accepted at ReStore Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. If your donation item is too large to bring to us and you are located in Lucas County (or Fulton County zip codes 43515, 43540, or 43558), you can schedule a pick-up online or call 419-382-1658 (option 2 on the ReStore menu) to schedule with our dispatcher. Items are selected based on our ability to sell them in ReStore. Some donations may be declined because of safety concerns, facility limitations, or marketability. Please visit our Donate page for additional information.

What do you sell?

Inventory includes furniture, windows, doors, appliances, paint, paint supplies, lighting, carpet, tile, kitchen & bath cabinets, sinks, toilets and more. Check out this list for a good idea of what we accept and then sell.

Since we receive new donations every day, "like" our Facebook page to follow daily updates and see a sampling of our current inventory. Just remember, all items are sold first come, first served and can't be shopped by phone or held for your arrival.

Where is ReStore and what are ReStore’s hours?

Our ReStore is located at 1310 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio.

Store hours are 10am-5pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. We are always closed Sundays and Mondays.

We are closed for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

We also occasionally close for staff workdays - like our annual staff build day at one of our build sites or for inventory once a year.  We try to update our outgoing phone message and post signs in ReStore about a week in advance to reflect any deviations to our normal store hours.
