What We Do

Neighborhood Revitalization

Rock the Block

Partnering with residents and community leaders and organizations, Rock the Block is a one-day event to bring people together to lift up a neighborhood and celebrate community. Throughout the summer, volunteers from organizations and communities across Toledo will complete projects like cleaning up parks, removing tires, brush trimming, planting flowers, and light exterior repair projects.  Click here to learn more about Rock the Block.

Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Areas

MVHFH serves all of Lucas County, but much of our funding and work is focused in four neighborhoods within the City of Toledo: East Toledo, Englewood, Junction, Old South End). These neighborhoods were identified by the City of Toledo as areas in need of economic development and revitalization.

The City of Toledo’s designation of NRSA is intended to last five years and track improvement across a variety of economic measures. To achieve this, the city will prioritize investment in infrastructure, programs, and services, encourage private investment, and improve the quality of life for residents.
