Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity (MVHFH) proudly announces the appointment of Maria Schmalzried as its new Chief Mission Advancement Officer. Schmalzried is a senior philanthropy and major gifts professional with 14+ years of experience building trusted relationships with high-capacity donors, families, and institutional partners to advance mission-driven impact.
In her role, she will be responsible for advancing MVHFH’s mission, vision, and long-term sustainability through comprehensive resource development, ReStore sales and donation strategies, brand stewardship, and stakeholder engagement. Prior to joining MVHFH, Schmalzried served as Head of Sales at Jupmode with previous leadership development roles at the University of Toledo Foundation and the ProMedica Foundation. She brings over a decade of experience building trusted relationships, managing complex donor portfolios, and guiding individuals and families through strategic and planned giving decisions.

This new role represents an exciting step within a larger organizational restructuring designed to position MVHFH for continued growth and success as we prepare for our 2027-2031 strategic plan.
