Schindler proudly presents Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Playhouse Project Blitz Build at Fifth Third Field

Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity brought together 28 companies for Playhouse Project Blitz Build presented by Schindler Elevator at Fifth Third Field in downtown Toledo.

This year’s event on June 2nd marks the 5th year that Schindler Elevator has been a cherished partner, and the first time that they have been the presenting Sponsor.

"Schindler has routinely supported our PPBB with impassioned teams", said Micheal McIntyre, Executive Director, Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity. "Now as the Presenting Sponsor for PPBB we know that their passion and engagement for our community will be showcased."

At Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity, we say Little Houses Help Build Big Houses.  With Schindler’s sponsorship and team support, that’s truer than ever.

The Playhouse Project initiative provides an imaginary world where kids can dream, which inspires their development, leadership, creativity and more.

"Playing house" is often the first-time children begin to think about what home means to them. Playhouse builds are Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity's signature fundraising events. This experience offers a fun, dynamic, meaningful construction/team building experience for any group that wants to build. Proceeds from these little houses will help to build big houses in Lucas County.

Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity matches organizations with local families in need and provide a biography/ interests summary that will help them design a one-of-a-kind playhouse that will be given to the family at no cost.

MVHFH captains and volunteer leadership will be on hand at Fifth Third Field all day to guide volunteers through the entire process. MVHFH will also provide all the materials needed like paint, paintbrushes, rollers, tools, protective paper/plastic, safety equipment, and cleanup supplies.

This is Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity's largest fundraiser, raising over $,100,000.
