ReStore

Our Purpose

A mother and daughter pose in front of ReStore merchandise while they're shopping.

What is ReStore?

Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, tools, and home accessories to the public at 25%-80% off original retail prices.

ReStores are not like other thrift stores. Habitat ReStores are independently owned reuse stores operated by local Habitat for Humanity organizations. The money raised by Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore helps families build a more stable foundation for the future through ownership of a decent, affordable home.

Together, we build homes. When you support Maumee Valley Habitat by donating, shopping or volunteering at our ReStore, you support the effort to build, rehabilitate, and repair homes safely and affordably in Lucas County.

With your help, Habitat for Humanity ReStore supports Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

For additional questions or information, give us a call at 419-382-1658 or fill out our Contact Us form.

Donate To ReStore:

Most items sold in ReStore are donated by local businesses and community members. For the complete listing of what we accept, please visit our Donate to ReStore page.  All items may be tax deductible.

Drop-off donations are welcomed Tuesday through Saturday, 10am - 4:30pm at 1310 Conant St, Maumee, OH. No appointment needed. Donations to our Maumee ReStore support Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity's Homeownership and Home Preservation Programs within Lucas County. Additionally, those donated items add up to TONS of reusable materials being diverted each year from local landfills.

Free Pick-up Service:

Our routes serve ALL Lucas County zip codes every week and also 43515, 43540, and 43558 in Fulton County. You can schedule one of our box trucks to pick up items which are too large to fit in your vehicle for drop off. Our pick up service is available for acceptable donations of large working appliances, new or gently used furniture, building materials and tools.

All items must be in acceptable condition (not in need of repair or cleaning) and easily accessible outside the home for our FREE pickup service. (Garages are preferred/entered, but are not the only option. We do NOT enter homes, apartment buildings, etc.)  If inside pick up is required, we can supply contact information for reputable local movers and haulers that can provide that service for a fee.

Neighboring counties are serviced by their own ReStores, each supporting the Habitat build and repair programs within their county.

You Can Recycle With Us

In addition to accepting furniture, appliances, housewares, and building materials for resale, Restore also serves as a convenient collection site in Maumee for a few local recyclers - diverting even more from landfills.

Electronics of any kind except TVs are accepted at no charge.  (We do not accept any televisions at all.)
Latex Paints can be recycled with us - in their original labeled containers - for the fee of $2 per gallon.

ReStore passes the broken/obsolete electronics on to Aim Ecycling, and used or unwanted latex paint to American Paint Recyclers for their respective certified recycling services.
